Flavor Labs ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Flavor Labs mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address
- Display name
- Profile photo URL (if you sign in with Google)
- A unique user identifier (UID)
User-Generated Content
When you use the App's features, we collect content you choose to submit:
- Photos uploaded for community posts, contest submissions, and shared content
- Post titles, descriptions, and captions
- Trivia game scores and results
- Likes and interactions with community content
Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect precise location data
- We do not collect payment or financial information
- We do not collect health or fitness data
- We do not collect contacts or address book data
- We do not collect browsing history
- We do not use analytics or crash reporting SDKs
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account
- Display your name and content on community feeds, leaderboards, and contest submissions
- Enable you to participate in trivia, contests, and community features
- Track likes and engagement on community posts
- Verify administrative access for authorized users
- Improve and maintain the App
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the App:
Firebase (Google)
- Firebase Authentication — handles user sign-up, sign-in, and session management. Processes email addresses, passwords (hashed), and Google OAuth tokens.
- Cloud Firestore — stores user profiles, posts, contest submissions, trivia results, and other app data.

Cloudinary
- Used for image hosting and optimization. Photos you upload are stored on Cloudinary's servers and served to the App for display.

4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Your information may be shared only in the following circumstances:
- Publicly visible content — your display name, posts, contest submissions, and trivia scores are visible to other users of the App as part of the intended community experience.
- Service providers — we share data with Firebase and Cloudinary solely to operate the App as described above.
- Legal requirements — we may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid legal processes.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account information and user-generated content for as long as your account is active. Trivia scores and leaderboard entries are retained indefinitely to maintain the leaderboard.
If you request account deletion, we will delete your account data and associated content within 30 days.
6. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data:
- All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS
- Authentication is handled by Firebase with secure password hashing
- Firestore security rules restrict data access based on authentication status
While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction — update or correct your account information
- Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated data
- Withdraw consent — stop using the App at any time

8. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
